The Role
Sitting within the ANZ head office finance team of this reputable global organisation you will be responsible for the management of the financial repporting function including group statutory accounting, development and implementation of accounting policies and providing technical support to the group and senior management. With senior leadership exposure to board level and role variety supporting Commercial and FP&A.  

Responsibilities
Reporting to the CFO, this is a hands role. Responsibilities include: 
  • Statutory consolidations, including financial statements.
  • Manage the financial accounting and transactional team.
  • Development of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Technical accounting support for the businesses.
  • Liaise with the external auditors.
  • Review month end reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc requests by senior management and commercial finance teams.
  • Assistance with the treasury, FP&A and internal audit functions.
  • Provide expert advice on accounting issues within the Group.
The Person    
You will be a CA / CPA qualified accounting professional. You will have a strong technical and compliance background coupled with commercial acumen to not only 'report' on the results but also identify gaps and implement solutions. Experience in a similar role focusing on statutory reporting, 'hands on' experience managing half yearly and annual reports is essential. Experience from manufacturing, supply chain or similar will be highly regarded.
