This is a pivotal executive role, accountable for the integrity, governance, and effectiveness of the group’s financial control environment at a time of increasing regulatory scrutiny, operational complexity, and sector reform.

Role:
As General Manager – Financial Control, you will act as a key advisor to the CFO, executive leadership, operations teams, and the audit & risk committee.
Your remit will include:
- Owning the end-to-end financial control framework, ensuring integrity across balance sheet, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Leading the external audit process, including statutory financial statements, Aged Care Financial Reports (ACFR) and Quarterly Financial Reports (QFR)
- Establishing and overseeing an internal audit capability within finance, including control testing and remediation
- Providing authoritative technical accounting advice across complex matters such as M&A, leasing, and ESG / sustainability reporting
- Maintaining robust governance documentation and financial process controls across all material activities
- Overseeing treasury operations, including cash flow management, liquidity compliance, banking covenants, and prudential requirements
- Ensuring compliance with aged care prudential standards
Candidate:
You will be a credible, values-aligned finance leader with:
- CA or CPA qualification (mandatory)
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Demonstrated senior experience in financial control, statutory reporting, and governance within aged care or a similarly regulated environment
- Background in audit and strong technical accounting capability
- Proven experience leading payroll, billing, or transactional finance teams at scale
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence executives, operations, and governance committees
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to lead change in complex environments
Leadership Scope:
You will lead multi-disciplinary teams across payroll, accounts receivable, and treasury, with a strong focus on capability uplift, service quality, and process improvement.
