The Role
In building out the internal senior leadership team an exciting opportunity has been created for a hands on and commercially minded Financial Controller.
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the MD, you will assume responsibility for developing and delivering a highly effective financial function. The role will have the ability to influence systems, processes as well as company culture and organisational development.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Monthly and annual financial reporting (including risks, opportunities and financial commentary) for the organisation
- Develop financial models to support business activities and initiatives
- Lead, mentor and build out the finance department
- Ongoing oversight and improvement of financial controls, systems and processes
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and tax obligations
You are CA/CPA qualified, and have compiled an impressive track record and reputation as a high achiever in a Big 4 or Mid Tier Chartered environment before making the move into industry. You have highly developed technical accounting skills and commercial acumen, along with proven experience managing complex and high level stakeholder relationships. You are a big picture thinker who is able to reason at a conceptual level, while still maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Crucially, you are a natural leader with a strong depth of experience in managing teams, and have the confidence and credibility to engage effectively and build relationships with senior executives and operational stakeholders.
Most importantly you are comfortable and excited by the idea of running an end to end finance function of a growing SME.
