About the role
A technology company located just South of the CBD are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Modeller to join our team on a temporary basis to support our financial planning and analysis functions. As a Temporary Financial Modeller, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing complex financial models that support our strategic initiatives. Your expertise will help drive key business decisions and ensure the financial health of our projects and operations during this critical period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support strategic planning, investment analysis, and business performance evaluation.
- Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the financial impact of various business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and assumptions necessary for model inputs.
- Prepare detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on model outputs to senior management.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial models through rigorous testing and validation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in financial modelling, preferably within the technology sector.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
