About the role 

An opportunity has arisen for a strong hands-on Finance Manager to join this overachieving organisation. Taking a hands-on approach, this is a very broad role with a focus on month end financial reporting, taking ownership over the General Ledger with a focus on ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet and improving the controls environment. The role will also get into and lead multiple internal projects around best practice, process, and procedures. This is an initial 4-month role but may lead to further opportunities.

The responsibilities:

The main duties include:

• Manage all accounting functions including accounts receivable, payable, payroll, BAS, bank reconciliations, assets register, etc 
• Prepare management and financial accounts as required and prepare half yearly and end of year accounts. Liaise with auditors as required
• Prepare and maintain financial reports for the board as needed: monthly and per board timetable.  Prepare reports for internal business management as required
• Create and maintain cash flow model and forecast, and comparisons to actual
• Manage annual budget process and regular forecasting
• Manage capital injection and similar submissions for board and shareholders’ review and approval.
• Manage cash-flow and bank accounts
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for internal control; manage the DOA within the business
• Be a great team player, good sense of humour. comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change and a self-starter.

  
The successful applicant will have

• Qualified ACA/CPA
• Proven experience within a similar role
• Self-starter
• Proven technical skills
• Ability to work in both a Hands-on and Strategic capacity
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
