About the Role
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept through to commercialisation. Working within a collaborative and technically strong team, you will lead assigned projects, manage customer communication, and support product scale-up into manufacturing.
You will be responsible for formulation development, conducting stability studies, improving existing products, and sourcing new ingredients in collaboration with procurement and commercial teams. The role also involves creating product specifications and PIFs, maintaining accurate project documentation, and running weekly project updates with internal stakeholders. You will contribute to customer workshops, sensory evaluations, and market research while ensuring all development aligns with internal processes and technical standards.
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in food manufacturing, strong technical capability, and the ability to manage multiple projects and the below:
• Experience in New Product Development within food or food service manufacturing
• Strong understanding of formulation, scale-up, and product optimisation
• Experience creating specifications, PIFs, and managing technical documentation
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder communication effectively
• Experience with sensory evaluation, product testing, and stability studies
• Strong collaboration skills across technical, production, and commercial teams
• Proactive mindset with the ability to drive projects and continuous improvement initiatives
