The Organisation
Yumi’s Quality Foods, maker of gluten-free, non-dairy dips and snacks, is now 100 per cent owned by George Weston Foods (GWF) — one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest food manufacturers and owner of brands including Tip Top, Mauri ANZ Don KRC, and cleaning chemicals business Jasol. GWF is a wholly owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods (ABF), a diversified international food, ingredients, and retail group with operations across 50 countries. Yumi’s employs over 200 people producing 100 tonnes of hommus every week as well as other great dips, falafels and vegetarian burgers and are widely recognized for high quality and great tasting products.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance & IT, the role will include but not be limited to:
  • Effective Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with the company's overall strategic objectives. Success is measured by how effectively these financial strategies support business growth and profitability.
  • Accurate Forecasting: Consistently provide precise and timely financial forecasts that enable the company to make informed strategic decisions. The forecasts should effectively predict revenue, expenses, and cash flow trends. Lead the business planning and annual budget and forecast processes.
  • Value-Added Analysis: Provide valuable insights through the analysis of financial and operational data. The analysis should facilitate decision-making and lead to noticeable improvements in financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Performance Tracking: Successfully identify, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that are relevant to the business. These KPIs should provide a clear view of the company's financial and operational performance.
  • Collaboration with Business Units: Establish strong relationships with leaders across all business units. These relationships should facilitate better financial planning and decision-making throughout the company.
  • Efficient Budget Management: Develop and manage the company's budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated optimally, and spending is in line with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Process Improvement: Implement improvements to the financial planning and analysis processes that lead to increased efficiency and accuracy.
The Successful Applicant
You will have come from a medium or large product based environment (FMCG, Retail or Manufacturing) and have had strong commercial experience coming out of an FP&A, Commercial, or Finance Business Partnering role. You have a natural curiosity to improve processes to help add value, and you are engaging, confident and look forward to building strong professional relationships across an organisation.
