The Position

This is a unique opportunity to lead CPL’s Technology environment, streamline business approaches, and create impactful change. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, we seek a candidate with excellent leadership skills to support continuous improvement in the Technology team's performance and contribute effectively towards achieving CPL’s vision and purpose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the deployment of advanced cybersecurity methods, technologies, and processes to protect systems, networks, and data against cyber-attacks in compliance with legislation and stakeholder expectations.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of ISO27001 accreditation and its maintenance.
  • Understand the organization’s current and future needs, prioritize strategic projects, and drive growth and change.
  • Maintain and enhance the IT Strategic Plan and accompanying policies and procedures.
  • Identify emerging technologies and industry trends to support business improvement and continual growth.
  • Play a key role in risk management, ensuring all technologies, systems, and infrastructure comply with legal requirements for data and information.
  • Develop and deliver internal communications related to IT changes, implementations, upgrades, and outages.
  • Deliver innovative solutions for efficient business communication and collaboration across a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with the Information Technology teams to provide exceptional service across the organization.
Selection Criteria

Applicants must address the following criteria in writing to be considered:
  • Professional qualifications in Information Technology.
  • Significant experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives in cybersecurity.
  • Experience in leading ISO27001 accreditation and audits.
  • Exceptional customer-focused approach with the ability to understand and meet customer needs.
  • Broad understanding of emerging and innovative technologies and their strategic application in a business-driven environment.
  • High-level strategic mindset and organized project management skills to deliver integrated programs with specific outcomes and deadlines.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proven achievements in managing situations and leading programs where leadership and influence are crucial to success.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, senior management, customers, and stakeholders.
