An opportunity has become available for a Graduate Accountant to join a reputable and culture-focused organisation in a temporary position, with the view to permanency / extension. This opportunity is located in the inner-city suburbs and is close to public transport.
To be eligible for the role you must have completed or close to completing a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (or a related field). The undergraduate positions are part-time and are flexible to suit your university schedule.
As a Graduate Accountant, you will have the opportunity to kickstart your accounting career, whilst working alongside experienced professionals. This role offers exposure to various aspects of accounting, including but not limited to financial reporting, taxation, auditing, and advisory services. You will have the chance to develop your skills, gain practical experience, and contribute to delivering high-quality services.
Duties – Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Finance Lead, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reporting and other accounting requirements.
- Conduct financial analysis and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support the transactional team across accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist with preparation of statutory accounts - GST, FBT, PAYG.
- Ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Lead and qualified Accountants.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
