About the role 
An opportunity has arisen for a strong technical all-round Group Financial Controller to join a well-established, and growing organisation on an initial interim basis. This role involves managing the financial operations of the organization on a temporary basis, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in financial management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee and contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process, partnering with department heads to develop financial plans aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor performance against these budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversee and review cash flow management. Including Cashflow forecasting and working capital.
  • Review current processes and procedures to support strategic decision-making, including evaluating investment opportunities, assessing the financial impact of business initiatives, and analysing financial performance metrics.
  • Lead the finance re-organisation and transformation, establishing functional reporting lines and internal controls, with a focus on best practice.
  • Review current financial systems and suitability to the organisation with a focus on efficiency, deliverables, outputs, and scalability as the business grows.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to PE investor agreements. Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Partner with internal and external tax advisors to develop strategies that will optimize the company's tax position, including compliance with tax regulations.
  • Oversee treasury, including managing banking relationships, debt financing arrangements, and investment activities optimising capital structure and maximising returns on investments.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management, PE investors, and other stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Working closely with the CFO you will provide support with due diligence and integration for potential acquisitions or divestitures, including financial analysis, valuation, and post-merger integration planning.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.  
The successful applicant will have:  
  • CA/CPA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a corporate environment
  • Experience in a strong finance leadership role, preferably within a global organisation and/or a highly complex environment.
  • Extremely strong technical skills and accuracy
  • Led finance transformation and change.
  • The ability to lead, develop and coach.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
