A well-respected, industry leading organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Payroll to lead a large, complex payroll function. This is a unique opportunity for a senior payroll professional to step into a high-impact role, overseeing daily operations and spearheading critical transformation and compliance projects.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a payroll team of 20+ across multiple entities, including team leads and processors
  • Oversee payroll processing for 10,000+ employees under multiple EBAs/Awards
  • Drive payroll transformation projects with a focus on compliance, system optimization and operational efficiency
  • Partner with key stakeholders to assess, design and implement sustainable payroll solutions
  • Troubleshoot and manage payroll systems
  • Support business acquisitions and payroll remediation initiatives
  • Provide clear reporting, guidance and updates to senior leadership
  
Ideal Candidate:
  • Senior payroll leader with proven experience managing large teams in complex, multi-EBA environments
  • Deep understanding of payroll legislation across Australia
  • Strong project leadership experience across payroll transformation, compliance, and systems
  • Proactive, systems-minded and confident operating independently with minimal handover
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable advising Executive stakeholders and building trust across teams
