Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a payroll team of 20+ across multiple entities, including team leads and processors
- Oversee payroll processing for 10,000+ employees under multiple EBAs/Awards
- Drive payroll transformation projects with a focus on compliance, system optimization and operational efficiency
- Partner with key stakeholders to assess, design and implement sustainable payroll solutions
- Troubleshoot and manage payroll systems
- Support business acquisitions and payroll remediation initiatives
- Provide clear reporting, guidance and updates to senior leadership
Ideal Candidate:
- Senior payroll leader with proven experience managing large teams in complex, multi-EBA environments
- Deep understanding of payroll legislation across Australia
- Strong project leadership experience across payroll transformation, compliance, and systems
- Proactive, systems-minded and confident operating independently with minimal handover
- Excellent communicator, comfortable advising Executive stakeholders and building trust across teams
- Competitive hourly rate - Equivalent of $200k + super (negotiable dependent on experience
- Inner city suburbs location with flexibility to work from home
