Role Purpose: 

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Lead to spearhead the enterprise sales efforts for a rich suite of data products. This pivotal role establishes the data sales practice, driving significant revenue growth across existing and new customers, building strategic relationships, and leading best practice for sales across the business

Part of the larger organisation and you’ll be joining a fledgling team of passionate data and tech professionals with deep industry expertise. This team forms an integral part of the business strategy and are committed to delivering excellence in everything they do.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate and expand within the pharmaceutical industry – CSO wholesalers, distributors, suppliers and Pharmacy Retail groups – and expand into adjacent industries such as insurance, public health and research
  • Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and engage with key decision-makers in large organisations to understand their data and analytics needs and position solutions effectively
  • Sales Process Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless and efficient process
  • Sales Leadership: Lead sales best practice and mentor junior sales team members 
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and product development
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the analytics, technology, and commercial teams to align sales efforts with company objectives and customer needs
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and insights to senior management
  • Product Development: Be a focal point for customer feedback, channelling key insights to the product team to influence future features and priorities.
  • Travel: As required to engage with enterprise clients, attend strategic meetings, and support sales initiatives with key customers 
 Key Competencies
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in enterprise sales within the pharmaceutical sector
  • Demonstrated success in leading sales strategy and achieving sales targets
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics products and their application in enterprise environments
  • Experience using platforms like Snowflake and Power BI etc, to analyse and interpret data
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience building sales packs using modern design tools such as Canva
  • Knowledge of CRM, ERP, POS and payment system seen as desirable 
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
