About the Organisation
Sharp & Carter are proud to partner with our client, a global leader in manufacturing and production. With a strong focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and workforce capability, the business is committed to embedding HSE excellence as a core part of its operations.
They are now looking for an experienced HSE Manager who can work side-by-side with leaders and teams to translate strategy into practical safety outcomes.

About the Role
This is a senior HSE leadership role responsible for driving health, safety and environmental performance across a major manufacturing operation.
This role offers a genuine blend of strategic influence and hands-on delivery.

You will work closely with senior leaders to shape HSE governance, while remaining highly visible on site — coaching leaders, engaging the workforce, and ensuring safety systems are effectively embedded into day-to-day operations. The role will adapt established frameworks and global standards into practical solutions that embed sustainable behavioural change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HSE leadership across a large manufacturing site, embedding safety as a core business value
  • Partner with senior leaders to build safety leadership capability and accountability at all levels
  • Lead strategic HSE initiatives that strengthen risk management, governance and compliance
  • Oversee incident investigations and ensure learnings are translated into systemic improvements
  • Govern HSE compliance frameworks, audits, regulatory reporting and assurance processes
  • Use data, insights and trend analysis to identify risks and drive targeted improvement initiatives
  • Set direction for safety training and capability development across the site
  • Provide leadership in injury management, wellbeing and return-to-work processes
About You
  • Demonstrated experience within a manufacturing or production environment
  • Formal qualification in Work Health & Safety (Diploma minimum or equivalent)
  • Experience leading incident investigations (ICAM or similar) and audit processes
  • Pragmatic and solutions-focused, with a hands-on approach to driving outcomes
  • Comfortable balancing high standards and accountability with relationship-based leadership
  • Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience leading cultural change and embedding sustainable safety practices
Why This Opportunity?
This role will suit an experienced HSE leader who enjoys being close to operations, building capability, and driving meaningful improvement.
