The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll lead a small HR team while partnering with leaders to provide practical, compliant, and people-centred HR advice. Covering a maternity leave, you will shape employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and operational HR processes, while mentoring and upskilling your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR team to deliver high-quality HR outcomes
- Provide ER/IR support, manage sensitive workplace investigations, and guide leaders through performance and conduct matters
- Support workforce planning, remuneration, and succession initiatives
- Drive process improvements and encourage self-service where appropriate
- Maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records for compliance and reporting
- Proven experience leading a team in ER/IR or operational HR
- Skilled at influencing leaders and developing teams
- Comfortable in structured, policy-driven or unionised environments
- Strong written communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and improvement-minded
- Initial onboarding onsite (5 days), then hybrid (1–2 days onsite)
