About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and customer‑centric Inside Sales Specialist to join a respected leader in the industrial manufacturing solutions sector. This role is a true blend of customer service and inside sales, supporting customers throughout the entire sales cycle while providing responsive, solutions‑focused service that drives satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.

Working across an assigned territory and industry segment, you'll qualify leads, manage enquiries, prepare quotations, support order processing, and collaborate closely with field‑based sales managers. You will be the first point of contact for customers and distributors — ensuring they receive timely information, high‑quality service, and a seamless commercial experience.

Duties
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting
Research and identify new potential customers through CRM tools, digital channels, and referrals.
Qualify inbound and outbound leads and issue product samples according to established processes.

  • Sales & Customer Engagement
Conduct high‑volume outreach (phone, email, virtual meetings) to build a strong pipeline.
Present appropriate product solutions and respond quickly to customer enquiries, objections, and concerns.

  • Customer Service & Relationship Management
Act as a primary point of contact for customers and distributors, providing consistent, high‑quality service.
Maintain strong relationships, deliver updates on offers and services, and ensure a positive customer experience.

  • Goal Achievement
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Track and report on sales metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline activity.

  • Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with marketing on lead‑generation initiatives.
Partner with outside sales representatives for smooth handovers and customer transitions.

  • Order Management & Administration
Prepare accurate price quotations, negotiate within set authority levels, and process customer orders (including SAP).
Maintain CRM information and monitor competitive activity and customer trends.
Produce sales reports, forecasts, and documentation as required.
    Support dispatch‑related administrative tasks.

  • Compliance & Other Duties
Comply with safety, environmental, and operational standards. Perform additional responsibilities to support business efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in inside sales and/or customer service, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, or technical environments.
  • Strong commercial understanding with experience in preparing quotes, negotiating terms, and managing enquiries.
  • Excellent customer‑service orientation with the ability to build trust, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional support.
  • Experience working with distributors or channel‑partner models (advantageous).
  • Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable using CRM platforms and digital sales tools.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to build strong, long‑lasting relationships.
  • Strong data literacy and the ability to leverage insights for prioritisation and forecasting.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and proactive in managing competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar business tools.
