We are seeking a detail-oriented License Manager to join a dynamic team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales, Licensors, and Product Teams to manage the licensing agreements and forecasts. This role requires a strong understanding of licensing processes, excellent communication skills both internally and with external licensors, to ensure successful product development, sales strategies, and compliance with licensing terms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Licensing Management:
    • Support the sales team in managing licensing agreements with licensors, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
    • Support negotiations with presentations, forecasts and finalizing licensing deals in collaboration with the Sales team.
    • Coordinate the renewal, modification, and termination of licenses, keeping accurate records.
  • Collaboration with Sales Teams:
    • Work closely with the Sales and product teams to understand market trends and customer needs, ensuring that licensing opportunities align with business objectives.
    • Provide licensing support for sales pitches, presentations, and negotiations with potential clients.
    • Advise the Sales team on legal and financial aspects of licensing agreements.
  • Product Development Support:
    • Collaborate with Product teams to ensure licensed products are developed in accordance with licensing terms.
    • Track the progress of licensed products, ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met.
    • Communicate any issues or changes to licensors or internal teams promptly to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for licensors, internal teams, and other external stakeholders.
    • Foster strong relationships with licensors and partners to ensure ongoing successful collaborations.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and market shifts, proactively identifying new licensing opportunities. 
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in licensing. 
      • Proven track record of managing licensing agreements, working with licensors, and supporting product development teams.
      • Experienced in building presentations for B2B sales teams. 
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of licensing processes, intellectual property laws, and royalty structures.
    • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
