The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting, while ensuring robust financial controls and compliance frameworks are maintained. You will play a key role in supporting operational leaders with meaningful analysis that drives performance, accountability and informed decision-making.

This is a hands-on position with significant exposure to month-end processes, balance sheet integrity, budgeting, forecasting and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  
    • Lead and support timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
    • Prepare monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary
    • Deliver reliable, clear and commercially focused financial insights to stakeholders
    • Assist with statutory reporting and funding acquittals where required
    • Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts
    • Monitor financial performance against budget and key operational metrics
    • Provide benchmarking, cost analysis and performance insights to operational leaders
    • Assist with business cases, financial modelling and tender submissions
    • Build strong working relationships with operational management teams
    • Provide clear financial guidance to non-finance stakeholders
    • Support leaders in understanding financial drivers, budget accountability and funding parameters
    • Deliver timely, accurate and value-add analysis to support decision-making
    • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and clear reconciling items in a timely manner
    • Support audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems and financial processes

The Candidate
To be successful, you will be a detail-oriented finance professional with prior experience, ideally within a medium to large organisation. You will have strong reconciliation skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
You are organised, reliable, and collaborative, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities. Progress toward or completion of a CA/CPA qualification will be highly regarded.
