As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to support their dynamic finance team.
About the role:
As a Management Accountant, you will directly report to the Finance Manager to help drive business decisions. You will work closely with various departments, including the Assets Finance team, to ensure the accuracy of asset costings, utilisation reports, and billing processes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of infrastructure terminology, particularly related to plant, assets, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly asset utilisation, cost, and revenue reports, providing commentary and analysis.
- Produces monthly management accounts and forecasts across all projects
- Liaise with GMs and collaborate with various divisions across the business.
- Liaise with AR/AP and project administration, overseeing each job with management accounting responsibilities
- Oversee asset billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing
- Support end-of-month financial tasks, including preparing journals, reconciling accounts, and reviewing overhead costs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial insights and ensure cost control measures are in place.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within financial processes and reporting systems.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting, business, or a related field.
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards it.
- Previous experience in management accounting or business partnering roles, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or heavy machinery industries.
- Strong understanding of plant, assets, and equipment management.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling or data analysis.
- Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
