About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, this hands on Commercial Finance Manager role leads a small team and partners across the business to drive performance. You’ll provide commercial insights, manage key external customer relationships, and balance strategic planning with hands-on financial analysis. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on influencing decisions and delivering measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small team of commercial analysts, driving performance and capability
- Partner with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insights, modelling and decision support
- Deliver pricing analysis, customer profitability insights and margin improvement initiatives
- Support new business opportunities, tenders and product innovation through robust financial modelling
- Own monthly performance reporting including P&L, variance analysis and business commentary
- Lead forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning processes
- Drive supply chain and operational analysis to support efficiency and cost improvements
- Oversee cost accounting processes including inventory, standard costing and manufacturing variances
- Manage key external customer relationships, including pricing protocols, reporting and financial analysis
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across systems, reporting and BI tools
- Proven experience in a Lead Commercial Finance, Snr Finance Business Partner or similar role within FMCG or manufacturing
- Ideally posess cost accounting experience with an understanding of operational and supply chain drivers
- Demonstrated ability to partner with stakeholders and influence decision-making
- Experience leading or mentoring junior team members
- Advanced analytical and modelling capability, with strong Excel and BI tool experience
- Confident communicator, able to engage both internally and externally
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- High-impact role partnering directly with senior leadership
