This pivotal role involves reviewing, reporting, and driving WHS initiatives to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of employees, customers, contractors, and visitors across a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of WHS practices across various business functions, including operations, human resources, supply chain, and construction.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve WHS management systems and strategies.
  • Foster a positive safety culture by promoting education and awareness across all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead incident investigations, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Support return-to-work and rehabilitation processes.
  • Oversee contractor pre-qualification processes and liaise with regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in WHS management, preferably within multi-site retail or hospitality settings.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in safety auditing, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Knowledge of dealing with regulatory bodies and environmental health officers.
  • Current driver's license
