This role plays a critical part in ensuring funeral services are delivered seamlessly, safely and in line with company policies, values and quality standards. It is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced operations-focused manager who enjoys balancing people leadership, process improvement and operational accountability in a meaningful environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 5 operational staff and be responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of a single, high-volume site.

Supported by in-depth, tailored training and strong systems, you will ensure consistency across operations while fostering a positive, respectful and professional workplace culture.

Key focus areas include:
  • Lead and coordinate daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures and service standards
  • Manage rostering, timetabling and resourcing to meet fluctuating service demands
  • Oversee compliance, WHS and risk management requirements
  • Monitor operational and financial performance, including labour costs and budget targets
  • Provide coaching, feedback and performance management to operational staff
  • Ensure assets, vehicles, equipment and facilities are maintained to presentation standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-team collaboration
About You

This role is open to experienced operations leaders from a range of industries, including logistics, hospitality, health, retail, airlines, real estate, community services, or similar.

You will bring:
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams (essential)
  • Strong operational mindset with attention to detail and compliance
  • Confidence managing rosters, processes and performance metrics
  • A calm, respectful and professional approach in sensitive environments
  • Comfort working in environments involving grief and emotional situations
  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence
No prior funeral industry experience is required — comprehensive training is provided.
