What you’ll do:
- Conduct patrols and issue infringement notices in accordance with council and legislative requirements.
- Educate residents and drivers about parking regulations and local laws in a fair and respectful manner.
- Respond to public enquiries, providing clear information and exceptional customer service.
- Operate Samsung handheld devices, body-worn cameras, and desktop systems accurately.
- Assist with abandoned vehicle management and school crossing supervision as required.
- Prepare documentation and attend court when needed for enforcement matters.
- Represent the department professionally while maintaining safety and community trust.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine motivation to make a difference.
- Parking or enforcement experience beneficial but not essential – full training provided.
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills; ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances throughout the day.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including handheld technology use.
- Current Police Check (within 3 months), Victorian driver’s licence, and full working rights.
- Work that directly supports community safety, access, and education.
- Collaborative, inclusive team environment with supportive leadership.
- Varied outdoor work no two days are the same.
- Uniform supplied (just bring your own black cargo pants and walking shoes).
- Monday–Friday hours with occasional weekend rotations once trained.
