Our client is a leading provider in their respective industry. With an extensive range of products this market leading organisation is seeking a driven and motivated Payroll & Accounts Payable Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be looking after accounts payable and payroll duties (80% payroll and 20% Accounts Payable focused).
Position Description:
Directly reporting to the Financial Controller your daily tasks will include, but not limited to;
- Process payroll for Australia and New Zealand for approximately 200 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Collaborate with an external provider to manage a small overseas payroll
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage payroll-related queries
- Prepare payroll management reports and liaise with the Accounting team for any reconciliation queries
- Liaise with HR to onboard and offboard employees where required
- Manage the accounts payable function
- Process supplier invoices and corporate credit cards
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to address and resolve payment issues.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful applicant with have:
- Proven experience Payroll experience (essential)
- Accounts Payable experience would be advantageous though not essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to hit the ground running
