About the role:
This role will be suited to someone who is energetic, up beat and enjoys working in an environment where no day is the same. This position will be leading a small team (2 people) and championing the recent Dayforce implementation. They have a vibrant culture and are looking for a candidate who can make the payroll department their own.
On a day to day basis you will be responsible for:
- Ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate, direct and control payroll preparation, processing and distribution
- Uphold high customer service standards and protocols across the business
- Develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders (Executives, HR, Finance)
- Manage and mentor 2 direct reports
- Work collaboratively and as a team across departments
- Use your system experience to ensure staff are well trained and payroll systems are running at their best
- Identify process improvements and implement these changes using your strong system knowledge
The successful candidate will have: - At least 5 years experience within a similar payroll position
- Experience with Dayforce is highly desirable
- Experience managing payroll projects
- Experience working with the retail award is an advantage
- A hands on and proactive attitude to support the payroll function
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
