About the Role
Reporting into the CFO, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 500+ employees nationally 
  • Develop, mentor and lead 1 x staff member
  • Accurately interpret and apply various EBAs, ensuring compliance and precision
  • Completion of PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover and Superannuation payments
  • Reconciliations, reporting and preparation of required payroll journals 
  • Senior stakeholder engagement with staff
  • Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiencies
  • Proving accurate information in response to employee queries

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Proven prior experience in full function Payroll processing having led a team
  • The knowledge & expertise to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
  • Effective time management & organisational skills with strong attention detail
  • Forward thinking, analytical and process improvement focused
  • First class communication skills both written and verbal
  • Keen desire to lead, mentor and develop staff to positively enhance skills and performance
