Responsibilities
Reporting into the Head of Shared Services, the role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Overseeing the end to end Payroll processing for over 6,000 staff
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals for posting into the General Ledger
- Lead and mentor a team
- Provide ongoing training to team
- Ensure relevant Awards and legislation are interpreted
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiencies
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Payroll Manager position along with the following skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in full function Payroll processing
- Proven experience leading and managing teams
- Ideally experience using Neller Preceda
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- Experience working in a medium to large organisation
- Proven process improvement initiatives
