Reporting to the HR Director this role will see you take leadership of the Payroll team with key duties including:
- Developing, mentoring and leading a team of 3 people
- Overseeing the end to end payroll processing for up to 3,000 employees
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Preparation of monthly payroll journals
- Provide ongoing training
- Ensure relevant Awards and legislation are interpreted
- Implementing payroll projects
- Identifying process improvements
- Ensuring compliance with payroll related legislation
- Uphold high customer service standards and protocols across the business
- Partner and develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
- Work collaboratively and as a team across departments
Candidate Profile
You will have extensive experience in a hands-on payroll management role along with the following attributes:
- 5+ years managing and developing people
- High volume payroll experience within a medium to large scale business
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs
- A high level of analytical skills
- Proven Project management experience and process improvement initiatives
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Oracle and HR3 System exposure would be highly regarded
