The Organisation
Our client is a leading establishment within their given market and are seeking an experience Payroll manager to join their finance function on a full time basis. The role will consist of managing direct reports, ability to meet deadlines and day to day handling of the payroll operations.
The Responsibilities
The role will consist of the follow duties; however, not exclusive to:
- Provide a high level of current technical understanding to support and advise on payroll implementation and workflow methodology
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all weekly, fortnightly and monthly Payroll
- Develop and/or modify payroll procedures and checklists and apply best practice methodology, to ensure that payroll activities are carried out accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain a well-developed understanding of and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policy frameworks (including awards and Enterprise Agreement reviews)
- Internal stakeholder reporting as required
- Driving continuous improvements and efficiencies across the payroll function
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will obtain the following attributes, but not limited to:
- Has previous experience working in a payroll manager position
- Has had multiple direct reports into them within a previous role
- Has been successful in the management of others in previous roles
- Has used SAP within the past
- Has knowledge of the health care sector
- Has used various time in attendance systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
