On offer to the right candidate, is the opportunity to work alongside the Payroll Manager in streamlining the payroll process with their respective locations.

About the role  
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer is a key cog within the Finance Team and empowered to grow professionally within the position through onboarding processes and training. This role is a 12 month FTC with the intention of going permanent at completion, your responsibilities would include but not limited to:
  • Weekly processing and payment of 600+ employee salaries and wages
  • Maintaining the payroll database and providing technical support and advice
  • Applying award and legislative rules to the payroll system and having up to date knowledge of requirements across all states
  • Preparing monthly reports for Superannuation, Payroll Tax, PAYG Tax, Child Support and WorkCover
  • Producing monthly leave entitlement reports
  • Work closely with HR in relation to new employee contracts, contract amendments, wage reviews
  • Weekly STP reporting to the ATO after each pay run
  • Poll the time clock daily and record the data
  • Print daily time sheets and distribute to internal stakeholders for review & approval
  • Preparation of payroll month end journals
  • Monthly payment of superannuation contributions
  • Weekly payment of novated lease arrangements
  • Managing year-end to ensure compliance with the ATO, State Revenue Offices and WorkCover
  • Adhoc employee and payroll relates reports and queries
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will possess a team first attitude and the ability to be adaptive in an environment of frequent changes and service innovation. You will possess a strong organisational focus and exposure across PRONTO and QTIME, knowledge of employment legislation, taxation, superannuation are highly desirable, with ideally 2 years previous experience within a similar a role.
