About the company
Our client is a market leader in the construction industry and are presently seeking an ambitious Payroll Officer to join their finance team. The business is poised for further growth, and an exciting opportunity presents for a driven candidate to join their supportive team and hit the ground running. This is a great role for a motivated individual to join the business on a contracted basis located in Melbourne’s Inner West
Duties
Your daily tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Pay run for 500+ employees
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of weekly payrolls
- PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover and Superannuation payments
- Processing new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Interpreting various EBA's and awards
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Reporting duties
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will also have the following attributes:
- Previous experience within Payroll
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to confidently work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
