Our client in one of Australia’s market leaders in the education industry and are absolute experts in their space. Due to an internal promotion, the need has arisen for an additional Payroll Officer to support their payroll team. Working within a supportive team, this role will be suited for those that are passionate about growing their career within the payroll industry.
Position Description
Reporting directly into the Payroll Manager and as part of a team, you will take ownership over the processing of a large payroll as well as the following duties:
- Ensuring accurate and timely process of payroll administration including compliance with statutory requirements
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Interpreting awards and EBAs
- Other payroll administration duties
The successful applicant will ideally have experience in a similar Payroll Officer role along with the following attributes:
- Experience within the payroll industry
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously
- Excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of superannuation requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Impeccable communication - both written and verbal
