The Organisation

The business is an Australian owned and operated labour hire organisation. They have over 25 years of history, and provide top of the range service. They are currently looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a permanent, full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a switched on and motivated individual, who will be given the opportunity to manage the payroll autonomously. 


Reporting to the Financial Controller, your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing the end to end payroll processing for 1000 employees on a weekly basis 
  • Completion of PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover and Superannuation payments
  • Process new starters and terminations 
  • Maintain leave and leave reports 
  • Preparation of monthly payroll journals for posting into the General Ledger
  • Set up Superannuation Funds for new starters 
  • Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiencies
  • Respond to any employees queries 

Candidate Profile

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar position along with the following skills and attributes:
  • Proven experience with processing end to end Payroll 
  • A go-getter attitude and willingness to learn 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Self motivated and can work in a team and autonomously 
  • Ability to build relationships with internal staff members
