Our client is looking for a Standalone Payroll Officer to join their finance and accounting team. The majority of the role is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the payroll function including month payroll reconciliations, with a small percentage of the role also responsible for areas of accounts receivable role. This is a permanent opportunity located in Randwick and hybrid working arrangements are available.
The Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll processing on a fortnightly basis
- Ensuring compliance with enterprise agreements, modern awards, and payroll legislation.
- Managing payroll queries and providing expert guidance to employees and managers.
- Processing terminations, leave calculations, and payroll adjustments.
- Reconciling payroll data and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Collaborating with HR, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
- Supporting system improvements and process enhancements.
The successful applicant will have
- 5 years’ experience in a stand alone Payroll position
- Experience in end-to-end payroll processing role for >250 employees
- Experience with Micropay is desirable
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to consider diverging priorities
- Great communication and customer skills
