About the company
Our client is a highly respected, nationally recognised Australian brand with a strong reputation and market dominance in their field. They are currently seeking a dynamic Payroll Officer to join their team on a full-time, 9-month fixed-term contract. This role offers excellent flexibility, including the option to work from home.
Duties
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- High volume, end-to-end payroll for approximately 1,400 employees on a fortnightly basis
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing
- PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover and Superannuation payments
- Processing new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments
- Interpreting various EBAs and awards
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
- Reporting duties
Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in a similar, high-volume, fast-paced role
- Experience using any large payroll system
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to interpret various EBAs and awards
- Possess high level attention to detail
- Energetic and positive can-do attitude
- Well-developed verbal & written communication skills
- Desire to work collaboratively, and passion for payroll
- Excellent time management & organisational skills
