An exciting immediate start role with a industry-leading Australian organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their payroll team. The role will be focusing on every day payroll processing, this role will be across multiple EBA's/Awards and within a high volume payroll environment. Please note that this position will be based in Macquarie Park. There will be opportunity to have some WFH benefits after 10 weeks training.
Initially this will be a 3 month temp opportunity, however there is the opportunity genuine view for this role to be transitioned into permanency following this period. We have previously placed candidates who initially started as a temp and transitioned to permanent within a month. The feedback on the role and company culture has been very positive.
The responsibilities:
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the main responsibilities include:
- End to End full function payroll processing (weekly payroll experience is advantageous)
- Monthly Payroll Tax lodgement & reconciliation
- Month End Reporting
- PAYG, union fees, payroll tax, WorkCover, child support, long service leave, income and severance and superannuation
- Interpreting a number of EBAs/Awards
- Assisting with reconciling wages clearing accounts
- Payroll processing
- Running Payruns and helping with projects
- Minimum 2+ years payroll experience
- Exposure to a high volume payroll environment
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to come into the Macquarie Park Office full-time.
