Key Responsibilities
Reporting into the Global Payroll Manager and working as part of a large team of 9 people, this role will take ownership of senior-level tasks to do with their NZ pay runs.
- Acting as the key point of contact regarding legislative change to do with NZ portion of the payroll
- Handling complex queries + escalations
- Interpretation of multiple industry awards
- Complex payroll reconciliations
- Providing payroll-related analysis as required
- Involvement in AD HOC payroll-related projects
- Providing backup support for NZ payroll processing
Our client believes attention to detail and striving for continuous improvement are pivotal but in addition they will require the successful candidate to have:
- Existing NZ payroll experience and exposure to the Holidays Act is a must have for this role
- Prior experience working with complex EBA/Awards
- High volume payroll experience
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Exposure to working with large payroll systems (SAP, Chris21/iChris, ADP etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Confident personality that enjoys speaking to key stakeholders
- Excellent part-time role for someone wanting lesser hours
