A highly regarded and well-established organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their People, Culture & Safety team. This opportunity will suit a hands-on payroll professional who thrives on managing detailed processing, navigating complex payroll queries, and driving ongoing process improvements.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of end-to-end payroll services across multiple entities nationally. Acting as the subject matter expert, you will oversee award interpretation, statutory requirements, and payroll compliance within a complex, multi-award environment.


About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end payroll processing including data entry, validation, and reconciliation
• Ensuring accuracy of time and attendance, allowances, deductions, and leave
• Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and complex queries
• Ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation
• Assisting with statutory reporting including STP and payroll tax
• Assisting with payroll system maintenance and optimisation
• Providing guidance and training to payroll team members

About You

• Demonstrated experience in payroll within a medium to large organisation
• Experience with Employment Hero is highly regarded
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong problem-solving capability
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
