The Opportunity This is your chance to join a collaborative, solution-focused team and take a central role in implementing, supporting, and optimising a recently introduced payroll system.
You’ll apply your payroll systems expereince to configure templates, streamline workflows, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance to a skilled payroll team eager to expand their knowledge. This is a hands-on role where your insights and problem-solving skills will directly improve accuracy, efficiency, and confidence across payroll operations.
The Role You will work closely with a small, dedicated payroll team managing data, calculations, and payroll accuracy, while an external provider completes final processing. Your primary focus will be on system implementation, optimisation, and ongoing support, ensuring the team maximises the value of Aurion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing and configuring payroll templates, processes, and workflows
- Providing expert guidance on Aurion features and system functionality
- Supporting the payroll team with queries, complex transactions, and troubleshooting
- Ensuring compliance and accuracy across payroll inputs and outputs
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and the outsourced payroll provider to resolve issues efficiently
- Identifying opportunities to enhance payroll processes and system performance
The Ideal Person You bring solid experience and a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll operations and implemations projects. You enjoy problem-solving, supporting others, and optimising systems. You are confident enough to lead improvements but patient and practical in sharing knowledge. You thrive in an environment that values collaboration, precision, and continuous improvement.
Key skills and experience:
- Proven payroll system experience (system setup, configuration, troubleshooting) across experience across the following Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ELMO Software, Employment Hero, an Aurion and Dayforce
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and employment conditions
- Proven expereince supporting projects and implemtations successfully
- Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with both internal teams and external providers
