About the role:
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for the accounting, forecasting and reporting for Development Projects. The position will sit in the finance team but will work very closely with the Development Project team and Investment team. The position will prepare the budgets, monthly forecasts and will monitor cash flow for the projects. The position will provide insightful analysis on project performance which will inform decision making.

Responsibilities:
  
  • Responsible for maintaining the accounting ledger for projects
  • Month/year end close including balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of management and board reports
  • Perform analytical review of numbers for management and board reporting.
  • Prepare and monitor the cash flow forecasts.
  • Manage the monthly payment requisition and equity drawdown process
  • Work with Development teams to prepare budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare year-end support for auditor requirements.
  • Prepare BAS reports and project tax calculations, liaise with external tax consultants for tax compliance requirements.
  • Participate in project review meetings with development team to ensure issues are identified early and picked up in advance of forecast updates
  • Review and interpret project delivery agreements and ensure the system is set up appropriately to calculate development returns and distributions to all parties
  • Liaise with project partners and provide information and reports as required.
  • Establish strong relationships with development teams and proactively assist as needed
  • Assist the corporate accounting team and perform ad hoc projects as needed
 
Skills and Experience:
  • Tertiary Education with CA/CPA qualification
  • 3+ plus experience working in an accounting/analyst role.
  • Property experience will be highly regarded, particularly property development experience
  • Strong demonstrated analytical skills required
  • Experience in forecasting and cash flow management.
  • Advanced Modelling skills
  • Advanced computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
