About the Role
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions across the full product lifecycle.
You will design, develop and refine automated mechanical systems from concept through to manufacturing, working closely with project managers, engineers, designers and workshop teams to ensure safe, functional and manufacturable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks
- Support projects from concept, prototyping and design through to manufacture
- Apply safe system design principles including FMEA and hazard analysis
- Select appropriate materials and fabrication techniques including welding and machining
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drawings and QA procedures
- Experience designing systems integrating mechanical and electronic components
- Knowledge of materials selection and fabrication processes
- Steel fabrication or steel manufacturing experience highly regarded
