I'm currently partnering with a large Queensland Government department, to find a highly skilled project manager for an exceedingly long contractor role! 

The Project Manager i'm seeking will lead the implementation of the Client Management Program (CMP) for this critical government department . This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transformation of customer service delivery and information management in a critical/responsive type environment. 

Job Description:
As the Project Manager for the CMP, you will be responsible for overseeing the replacement of legacy systems with an integrated information management and customer service delivery solution. Your key responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
  1. Project Delivery:
    • Manage the successful delivery of all components required to implement the CMP scope.
    • Coordinate the delivery across CMP, addressing challenges associated with specific components and tailoring solutions to meet specific needs.
  2. Design and Development:
    • Design and develop components of the work to be delivered, including communications, promotional material, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  3. Change Management:
    • Drive a fit-for-purpose change management strategy using a structured methodology.
    • Lead change management activities, working closely with the Program Change Manager.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Provide advice to the Steering Committee on all aspects of the project.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, promoting project goals and managing communications.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Manage and monitor the project using QPS Project Management methodologies.
    • Identify and capture risks, issues, actions, and dependencies. Prepare regular progress reports for the Steering Committee.
  6. Vendor and Resource Management:
    • Manage complex vendors, consultants, and technical resources.
    • Collaborate with the QPS ICT supplier, Frontline & Digital Division, to ensure successful project outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Project Manager.
  • At least 4 years' end-to-end delivery experience in large and complex ICT environments.
  • Experience in 24x7 life critical system replacement/upgrades.
  • Previous experience in Public Safety contact centre operations or projects.

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
