Position Overview:

The company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead its engineering team in the development and execution of projects focused on sustainable recycled products. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for sustainability, a strong background in project management, and a proven track record of successfully delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engineering Design and Management
    • Conducting plant designs – including mass and energy balances and unit specifications & reviews
    • Preparing requests and quotations for fabricators
    • Reviewing/preparing process flow diagrams and piping & instrumentation diagrams
    • Developing control system hierarchies
    • Preparing and standardising engineering documentation
    • Site assessment and preparation
  1. Project Planning and Execution:
    • Develops and implements project plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and sustainability objectives.
    • Leads cross-functional teams to execute projects efficiently, from concept to completion.
  2. Resource Management:
    • Allocates and manages resources effectively to meet project milestones.
    • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resource utilization.
    • Develops and manages project budgets, monitoring expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
    • Identifies and implements cost-saving measures without compromising project integrity.
  3. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Fosters a culture of innovation within the engineering team, encouraging the development of sustainable and efficient solutions.
    • Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and product offerings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Project Manager in a manufacturing or sustainable products environment.
  • Experience in commissioning of production facilities – ideally thermal plants or chemical production plants
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
