Quality plays a critical role in both customer performance and operational efficiency, with the business placing strong emphasis on visible leadership, floor engagement and strong partnerships between Quality and Manufacturing Operations.

You will have strong exposure to customers, audits and operations.

About the Role
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the QA Manager owns the end-to-end Quality and Food Safety function for the site. This is a highly visible, people-facing role that partners closely with Operations, Engineering and Customers to drive quality outcomes and a strong quality culture.
You will lead a small Quality team, act as the primary site representative during audits and customer interactions, and spend meaningful time on the production floor engaging operators and leaders alike.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Owning site Quality and Food Safety systems, certifications and compliance
  • Leading internal, external and customer audits and managing audit outcomes
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer quality issues and complaints
  • Driving quality culture through strong floor presence and engagement
  • Analysing quality data, trends and non-conformances to drive improvement
  • Partnering with Operations to improve product quality and line efficiency
  • Managing supplier and customer NCR processes
  • Leading and developing a Quality Systems Engineer
  • Supporting customer trials, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
This role suits someone who enjoys connecting quality systems to real operational outcomes, rather than operating behind a desk.
  
Key Skills and Experience
  • FMCG manufacturing background 
  • Proven experience owning the Quality function at a site level
  • Strong exposure to internal, external and customer audits
  • Confident communicator able to influence operators, leaders and customers
  • Solid understanding of quality systems without being overly system-focused
  • Naturally curious, pragmatic and people-oriented
