About the role:
A rare opportunity has emerged for a seasoned commercial leader to take the reins of a large-scale sales function within a nationally recognised equipment and services group. This highly strategic role is accountable for driving revenue, leading a sales function, managing major asset acquisition, and optimising inventory performance across a diverse portfolio. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this position blends operational excellence with market growth strategy, leadership, and customer-centricity.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end management of a sales division and oversee all equipment purchasing functions.
  • Design and execute commercial strategies to achieve revenue, profit, and stock performance targets.
  • Oversee forecasting, pricing, and inventory management of capital equipment assets across multiple sites.
  • Maintain strong market intelligence to inform sales strategy, acquisition decisions, and competitive positioning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across sales and operational teams.
  
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role; industry experience within capital equipment, automotive, or industrial sectors advantageous but not essential.
  • Commercial acumen in managing large-scale inventory, pricing models, and margin optimisation.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of developing high-performing, cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking paired with operational discipline – comfortable making decisions at pace.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills at all levels.
