Newly created role overseeing total Domestic B2B Ingredient Sales. Reporting into the GM Sales, you will be responsible for a broad range of customers across Food Manufacturing, Retail Private Label and Distributors.
You will be responsible for developing and executing channel strategies to maximise margin and ensure customer satisfaction. You will need to operate with ownership, speed and tenacity and be confident in selling on value as opposed to be just price.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for the product portfolio in consultation with the GM Sales, aligning with overall company goals and strategy.
- Client Relationship Management: Build, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Engage with customers to understand their needs, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly to foster long-term partnerships.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and potential areas for growth within the almond market.
- Market Analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments related to almonds. Utilise market insights to make informed decisions and optimize sales strategies.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and periodic reports on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics for presentation to senior management.
- Product Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to design and implement effective promotional campaigns and activities that enhance the visibility and desirability of our almond products.
- Budget Management: Responsible for overseeing individual budget as part of the Sales team.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as production, supply chain, and finance to streamline processes and ensure smooth operations throughout the sales cycle.
- Trade Shows and Events: Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and conferences to network, showcase products, and generate new business leads.
- Proven B2B ingredient/commodity sales experience to achieve targets and performance metrics.
- Prior experience and network across domestic food manufacturers
- Understanding of commodity ingredient markets, industry dynamics and customer needs
- Strong negotiation and ability to build new markets and customers.
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
