Sharp & Carter has been engaged by a multinational organisation to source a high-calibre Senior Accountant for a business-critical role, commencing immediately.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for developing meaningful management accounts and supporting assigned tasks within the financial control and operational environment, and continuously optimising and improving processes. The duties of you role will include but not be limited to the following.
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Responsible for preparation of monthly balance sheet and cashflow statements including interpretation and analysis
- Preparation of monthly group statutory financial statements
- General assistance where required by the CFO or directors
- Seek continuous improvement of financial accounting processes to enable the delivery of an efficient and stream-lined service, documenting changes to processes and procedure
- Finance business partnering with key people across the business and liaising with external parties
- Balance sheet review and actioning any issues, variance analysis between periods
- Financial accounting overall including the timeliness and accuracy of the month-end close
- General ledger reconciliations
- Taxation preparation and reporting
- Full involvement in year-end audit process
- Project work and analysis to support the finance team
The Candidate
Ideally you will be CA or CPA qualified or close to completion and have excellent communication skills. You will also have proven cashflow management experience, as well as strong Excel, analytical and systems experience gained in a medium to large corporate, ideally within a fast-faced environment.
