We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to step into a standalone, autonomous role within a well-established finance team. The organisation is a well-known, billion dollar, privately owned business. This position will suit an experienced AP professional who enjoys owning the function end-to-end, working closely with senior stakeholders, and operating in a high-volume environment.

The Opportunity
Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will take full responsibility for the Accounts Payable function. This is a hands-on role requiring strong judgment, ownership and accountability, with scope to influence processes and act as the go-to person for all AP-related matters.
You will manage priorities independently, partner closely with the broader finance team, and play a key role in supporting operational and month-end requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full end-to-end ownership of the Accounts Payable function
  • Manage invoice processing, coding, approvals and payment runs
  • Take responsibility for AP workflows, deadlines and priorities
  • Act as the main point of contact for supplier queries and escalations
  • Perform supplier reconciliations and resolve complex discrepancies
  • Support month-end processes including accruals and reporting inputs
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with policies
  • Partner closely with senior finance stakeholders on AP-related matters
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
About You
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in a senior Accounts Payable or autonomous AP role
  • Comfortable working autonomously and owning the AP function end-to-end
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Confident communicator who can liaise with senior stakeholders
  • Proactive, solutions-focused and confident managing competing priorities
  • Open to candidates who can start immediately or have a notice period.
