This is a pivotal commercial finance role supporting the Australia & New Zealand business, reporting directly to the CFO and partnering closely with senior operational leaders.

The Opportunity
This is not a traditional reporting role.
The Senior Commercial Analyst will operate as a true business partner — influencing pricing strategy, customer profitability, product lifecycle decisions and investment outcomes. You will lead budgeting and forecasting processes, develop robust financial models, and provide forward-looking insights that directly impact commercial performance.
You will also lead and mentor two direct reports while supporting the CFO in selected accounting and control activities.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Analysis & Business Partnering
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Product teams to drive informed decision-making
- Analyse revenue streams, pricing models and customer profitability
- Develop business cases for new investments and growth initiatives
- Challenge assumptions and “pressure test” commercial decisions
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Build dynamic financial models and scenario analysis
- Monitor performance vs budget, identifying risks and opportunities
- Deliver high-quality management reporting and executive presentations
- Provide actionable insights on trends and variances
- Support month-end activities including warranty provisioning and inventory valuation
- Strengthen financial controls in partnership with Finance and Operations
You are commercially minded, analytically strong and confident engaging with senior stakeholders. You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and enjoy challenging the status quo.
You will bring:
- CA / CPA (or equivalent) qualification
- Strong experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A or Business Analysis
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
- Experience developing and utilising BI tools
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
- A strategic mindset with a focus on value creation
- Direct exposure to CFO and executive leadership
- Ownership of ANZ commercial performance
- Opportunity to act as a change agent within finance
