About the Role:
This entity is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs to ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal policies. You will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
In this role you will be involved in:
- Developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Conducting regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance risks.
- Monitoring and analyzing regulatory changes, ensuring the entity's policies are up-to-date and compliant.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on compliance-related issues.
- Leading investigations into compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Preparing reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Providing training and support to employees on compliance matters.
About You:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field.
- Retail experience would be advantageous but not a prerequisite
- You must be based in Melbourne and have full working rights in Australia
- Ideally you will have been involved in a compliance framework implementation and or enhancements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
