You will play a key role in delivering practical, compliant, and commercially balanced employee relations advice, while contributing to enterprise-wide ER/IR capability and frameworks.
The Role Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, you will manage complex and high-risk employee and industrial relations matters across a diverse workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex ER/IR cases and investigations
- Providing expert advice on legislation, awards, and agreements
- Partnering with leaders and HR Business Partners on sensitive matters
- Identifying trends and proactively managing risk
- Coaching managers and HR teams to build ER capability
- Supporting enterprise-wide ER/IR and EA strategies
- Ensuring strong governance, compliance, and documentation
You are a confident, commercially minded ER professional with strong judgement and credibility at senior levels.
You will bring:
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations law
- Proven experience managing complex investigations and disputes
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- High-level written and verbal communication capability
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- Degree in Law, HR, Industrial Relations, or related discipline an advantage
- 5+ years’ experience in ER/IR roles
- Background in large, unionised, or complex organisations preferred
- Strong experience in compliance, risk, and governance
